Remember the T-Mobile “Life is for sharing” advert
Well it seems the Belgiums are doing it too, this time they are doing it for a TV show. Apparently they are looking for someone to play the leading role in the musical of “The Sound of Music”.
Is it just me, or have people run out of ideas. I’m talking specifically about TV ads here. This is the global age, we see ads from around the world, not just in the country we currently live in. So why go and copy something exactly. Surely there are other ways of creating a publicity stunt. OK, I cant think of any good ideas right now, but then that’s not my job.
I love office toys. I have loads of them, from nerf guns to balls, remote controlled cars to wireless rabbits, R2-D2 to bop-it. Anything to make the day pass quicker. So this clip really tickles my fancy.
Sometimes flash sites work well, and this is one of them.
To promote the Dodge Ram truck, BBDO has created a kind of reality show exclusively online. This series is divided into five episodes of six minutes each, which show several races on different circuits.
Four teams participate in the “Dodge Ram Challenge”: cowboys, firemen, military and manufacturers, facing challenges on specially built course with a myriad of obstacles.
The footage is directed and edited by Tony Scott, brother of Ridley Scott. He directed films like “Top Gun”, “Red Tide”, “Enemy of the State,” “Flames of Vengeance,” among others.

Most of the American presidential race has gone past without much really interesting me. That is to say what ever happens in the States, who ever gets elected, does affect the world at large, but a lot of the tv ads, blogs, twitters, facebook groups etc have not really interested me.

A few years ago Budweiser did and ad that went viral, mostly because it was simple and captured the attention of ADHD people, like myself.
Someone has just updated this. I dont believe its budweiser, but rather the actors are the same.
Whats also very good is how they, the advertising people behind Obama’s campaign, have connected to their target market using the internet.
